Our mission

FanQ's mission is to make fan opinions transparent and build bridges between fans, clubs and associations, leagues and sponsors with intelligent solutions.

How FanQ makes fan opinions transparent

FanQ is the voting platform for fans in sport. FanQ picks up on current topics several times a day and asks fans for their opinions via web & app. FanQ is interactive. Fans can vote for free, exchange opinions and interact socially. FanQ visualises the results and makes fan opinions transparent.

Fans can vote on their favourite clubs and all relevant topics in sport. FanQ reaches up to 50,000 voting fans per month via the FanQ app community, the FanQ web community and the FanQ media partner community. This results in a representative picture of the mood. FanQ also conducts long-term studies to research complex topics.

Media partner

FanQ is connected via a content partnership with the SID Group, the leading sports news agency in Europe with a reach of over 30 million sports fans daily via print, online, video and audio. In addition, FanQ works directly with various publishers via direct media partnerships, thus ensuring an attractive overall reach for the fan opinions collected.

Social Business

FanQ has a social focus. Through transparent fan opinions, FanQ promotes decisions in the interests of the fans and thus contributes to a more sustainable development and attractiveness of professional sport. In addition to this operational focus, it is also important to FanQ to make a financial contribution to improving professional sport. FanQ has therefore committed to donating 11% of its profits each year to fan-related and social projects. As part of this commitment, FanQ is a member of Common Goal.

Scientific Advisory Board

FanQ's Scientific Advisory Board provides ongoing support for the company's surveys in terms of topic definition, study design and evaluation. Its involvement ensures that appropriate methodological procedures are always applied and that insights are gained taking into account current sports science, sociological and economic findings. The interests and needs of fans recorded in the studies can thus be validated and correctly categorised.

The Scientific Advisory Board currently consists of four permanent members: Prof Dr Axel Faix, university lecturer for corporate management at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, who has been at FanQ's side since the company was founded. The advisory board is completed by Dr Monika Frenger, Department of Sports Economics/Sociology, Saarland University, club/association research, football research, various voluntary functions in sportProf. Dr Harald Lange from the Institute of Sports Science at the University of Würzburg and Prof. Dr Lutz Thieme, Professor of Sports Management at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and a sports volunteer.
